Le nuove navi del 2012

Sono e saranno nove le navi da crociera consegnate agli armatori dai cantieri europei nel 2012. La prima è un ritorno sulla scena di un'unità del 1993, la Costa Romantica, ribattezzata Costa neoRomantica i cui lavori di restyling sono stati fatti dai cantieri genovesi San Giorgio e Mariotti. 

Delle altre otto, la prima a prendere il largo sarà la Disney Fantasy di 128.000 tonnellate di stazza lorda prodotta da Meyer Werft, con un possibile ritardo di consegna dovuto a un'azione di sabotaggio sullo scafo in costruzione. Altro possibile ritardo, causa scioperi, potrebbe registrarsi per la Riviera di 65.000 tonnellate di stazza lorda di Fincantieri. Quattro i battesimi a fine primavera. Fincantieri consegnerà Carnival Breeze (130.000 tonnellate di stazza lorda) e Costa Fascinosa (114.000 tonnellate di stazza lorda), Meyer Werft battezzerà Aida Mar (71.000 tonnellate di stazza lorda) e Stx, invece, Msc Divina (140.000 tonnellate di stazza lorda).

A chiudere l'anno, Meyer Werft con Celebrity Reflection (126.000 tonnellate di stazza lorda) e Stx con un'altra nave Msc chiamata Msc Preziosa.


New ships for 2012.
Nine cruise ships will be handed over to their owners by Euopean yards in 2012. The first sees the return of the Costa Romantica, launched in 1993, now renamed Costa neoRomantica, with restyling work by Genoa-based yards San Giorgio and Mariotti. Of the other eight, the first to commence operations will be the 128,000 gross tonne Disney Fantasy, built by Meyer Werft after a possible delivery delay caused by sabotage while the ship was under construction. Another possible delay, this time the result of strike action, could hit Fincantieri's 65,000 gross tonne Riviera. Four launches are to take place in late spring - Fincantieri will hand over the Carnival Breeze (130,000 tonnes) and Costa Fascinosa (114,000 tonnes), Meyer Werft will introduce the Aida Mar (71,000 tonnes) and Stx hands over the Msc Divina (140,000 tonnes). Meyer Werft will close the year with Celebrity Reflection (126,000 tonnes), joined by Stx with another Msc vessel named Msc Preziosa.
